
Redskins stole the lead late in the game in a 23-11 victory over Arcadia on Monday. Redskins were down 9-8 in the top of the fourth inning when Rylan Parks homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
Parks collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Redskins to victory. Parks doubled in the second, doubled in the third, homered in the fourth, and homered in the sixth.
Redskins took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jacob Grigg grounded out, scoring one run.
Redskins put up 11 runs in the sixth inning. Jarred Durr, Grigg, Johnathon Robison, Jaxon Page, Parks, and Grigg all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Monroe McCarty got the win for Redskins. The hurler allowed five hits and seven runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six. Parks and Durr entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Redskins collected 19 hits. Durr, Parks, Bradyen Barber, and McCarty each had multiple hits for Redskins. Parks and Durr all had four hits to lead Redskins. Durr led Redskins with seven stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 25 stolen bases. Redskins was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Grigg made the most plays with ten.
