Early Lead For Doyline Seals Fate For Saline Bobcats

Saline Bobcats watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-0 loss to Doyline on Tuesday. Doyline scored on a single and a stolen base in the first inning.

The Bobcats struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Doyline, giving up 14 runs.  One bright spot for Saline was a single by Ethan Roberts in the first inning.

Will Dison was on the pitcher’s mound for the Bobcats. The righty surrendered six runs on two hits over two innings, striking out two. Jacob Jones and Roberts entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Shawn Staggs and Roberts each managed one hit to lead Saline Bobcats.
