Saline Bobcats Varsity Took 7-5 Victory Over Castor

Saline Bobcats won against Castor, 7-5.

Saline got things moving in the first inning. Will Dison doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Castor tied things up at five when Joseph Mathews singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Saline pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for the Bobcats and Dison grounded out, scoring one run.

Ethan Roberts led the Bobcats to victory on the hill. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on two hits over four and a third innings, striking out five and walking one.

Will Bradford led things off on the mound for Castor. The hurler went seven innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and striking out ten.

Shawn Staggs started the game for Saline. Staggs allowed five hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Staggs led Saline with two hits in four at bats.

Castor Tigers racked up eight hits in the game. Mathews, Dylan Waters, and Gage Jordan all had multiple hits for Castor. Jordan, Waters, and Mathews each collected two hits to lead Castor Tigers.
