In April to celebrate Poetry Month, the Bienville Parish Library Adult Outreach Services held a poetry contest and asked our adult library patrons to write a poem. They could use whatever style of poetry they wanted, epic, limerick, Haiku, or free verse.
On April 24th, a panel of judges unanimously selected the poem, “I See Me” as the winner. Ms. Yolanda Stephens, a patron from the Ringgold Branch kindly agreed to come in and record her poem. As part of her prize, the Bienville Parish Library created a short video highlighting Ms. Stephens winning poem.
The Bienville Parish Library invites you to watch Ms. Stephens recite her poem below.
