Just before 11:30 a.m., September 9, Bienville Parish Sheriff John Ballance posted the following:
“WARNING: Unknown persons are calling local residents using the 263 exchange and informing them that the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office has an active warrant for their arrest. The callers offer online payments instead of arrest. The Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office DOES NOT operate in this manner! Call 318-263-2215 or 318-894-9185 to report all suspicious telephone communications.”
