The School Board met for their regular monthly meeting last night at 6:00 p.m. at the School Board Annex. The Bienville Parish Journal live streamed the meeting.

• The school board held a roll call vote and unanimously passed a resolution to continue to retain Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins as special counsel for the school board.  The attorneys had an increase in their hourly rate but this increase was approved by the attorney general.
• The school board voted unanimously to allow the Castor Little League to use the baseball/softball field (the old field) beside the First Baptist Church from January through July of 2022.  

Following the meeting, I spoke with Superintendent William Wysinger about the termination of the School Resource Officer agreement between the school board and the Sheriff’s Office.  Mr. Wysinger said they are still working to resolve the issue.  Subscribe to the Bienville Parish Journal to stay informed on this issue.  Click Here for a free subscription.
