Deputies Arrest Ringgold Man on Multiple Drug Charges, Outstanding Warrants

On Friday, February 25, 2022, Bienville Parish investigators and patrol deputies arrested Martino Hill, age 40, of Tucker Street in Ringgold, after he was observed seated in his vehicle on the parking lot of the Oaktree Apartments in Ringgold. Deputies had four outstanding drug arrest warrants in hand when they approached Hill who had exited the vehicle and had begun to walk away. After failing to follow commands to stop, a short struggle ensued at which time Hill was taken into custody.

Found on his person were approximately eleven grams of crack cocaine and over $5900 in cash. Deputies additionally seized from Hill’s vehicle approximately 218 grams of marijuana, a set of digital scales and a Ruger 5.7 pistol which is capable of penetrating body armor.

Hill, a prior convicted felon, was charged with:

  • 3 counts of distribution of methamphetamines,
  • 1 count of distribution of cocaine,
  • possession with intent to distribute cocaine,
  • possession of marijuana over 14 grams,
  • possession of a firearm by a prior convicted felon,
  • possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances,
  • possession of drug paraphernalia,
  • resisting an officer.

He also was charged on a warrant issued by the Second Judicial District Court for failure to pay child support in the amount of $9543.60. Hill was booked into the Bienville Parish Jail with bond set in the amount of $270,000.
