Beginning in March, the Bienville Parish Library hosts the 2022 Adult Reading Program. This years’ theme is “Oceans of Possibilities” and gives the adult patrons the opportunity to enjoy their own Reading Program with prizes and certificates of participation. The Adult Reading Program is a preview of what the children’s Summer Reading Program will offer, and prepares the family for the fun that begins for children on June 1st!
Like the Summer Reading program for children, the Adult version has a little bit of competition in an ocean of fun! Adults track in their reading log, all the books, e-books and audiobooks they check out from their neighborhood Bienville Parish Library. The top reader with the highest number of books read, will receive a prize and have their picture posted in their home library and on Facebook! There will be a top reader from each branch selected, and all registrants receive a certificate of participation.
If you are interested in the Bienville Parish Library Adult Reading Program, visit your neighborhood library to register. Your librarian will give you all you need to get started. Begin reading books or listening to audiobooks on CD or online through Libby/Overdrive. The only criteria you’ll need to remember is that all your books, e-books and audio books must be checked out from a Bienville Parish Library or through the Bienville Parish Library online portal.
