The Louisiana Peach Festival is now seeking entries for its annual poster design contest. Each year, the Peach Festival sells a commemorative festival poster created by a local artist. The tradition of the poster contest stretches back nearly 40 years. Over the decades, festival goers, residents and local businesses have built collections of the posters, many of which are displayed around Ruston and Lincoln Parish.
The theme for this year’s poster is “Throwback to our roots.” All artists are welcome to enter their designs, and the winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize. This year, the poster will be available in 12”x16” and 18”x24” sizes.
“The poster contest is such a fun tradition of the Louisiana Peach Festival,” said Tori Davis, Marketing Director for Experience Ruston. “It’s a fantastic way to commemorate each unique year of the festival, all while showcasing the talent of a local artist.”
