At about 2:00 p.m. on Monday, the town of Haughton Fire Department requested mutual aide from the Bossier Parish fire district to help extinguish a residential structure fire. Bossier Parish sent a fire engine and a command unit to assist Haughton Fire Department.
Due to temperatures that reached over 100°, Bienville Fire Districts 4 & 5, South Bossier Fire District 2, and Bossier Parish EMS also helped battle the blaze.
No injuries were reported to the Journal.
