Large Turnout for Annual Watermelon Festival Despite Triple Digit Temperature

On Saturday, July 9, Saline held its annual Watermelon Festival.  The temperatures peaked at 102 degrees in a heat wave that broke records throughout the region.  The heat and sweat failed to dampen people’s spirits.  Main Street was crowded with people.  The parade was a hit with J.R. Davis as Grand Marshall.  The festival was capped off with live music provided by Coyote Moon.
