On Friday, August 26,2022, former Ringgold High School Class of 2016 graduate and valedictorian Azariya Mclendon received her white coat from Barry University in Miami, Florida.
Azariya was the First Bienville Parish student to receive an Associate Degree from Bossier Parish Community College while still in high school in 2016.
Azariya received her Bachelor Degree from Grambling State University in Biology in 2020.
She has received this prestigious recognition from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and serve her residence to become a part of the Graduating Class of 2024.
She is the daughter of Curtis and Chanequal Murphy of Ringgold and Taron McClendon of Minden.
