Retiring Teacher Recognized at Her Last Official Castor High School FBLA Meeting

“Thank you may never be enough.” That’s the sentiment felt by many at Castor High School.  Yesterday, Mrs. Bonita Hall attended her last official FBLA meeting at Castor High School  Mrs. Hall is nearing her retirement date from CHS, and though she will still serve on the state FBLA committee post retirement, she is saying goodbye to Castor FBLA, a club that under her leadership became one of the most successful chapters in Louisiana FBLA.

Pictured above are the new Castor FBLA advisors Brittney Lea, current teacher and former CHS graduate who qualified for FBLA Nationals 4 times with Mrs. Hall as her advisor, Mrs. Hall, and Sladen Canady, current Castor High business teacher.

Ms. Lea and Mr. Canady presented Mrs. Hall with a gift from the club at her last official meeting.  The framed gift highlighted some of her trips to nationals including her latest group of 17 CHS students that traveled to Chicago to compete this summer. The message read: “Thank you, Mrs. Hall, for continually providing amazing opportunities for Tiger FBLA members to serve their community, represent their school on the state and national levels, and experience the world beyond the borders of their small town.”

Castor High School posted on their Facebook page, “Thank you for giving your all to the Tigers Mrs. Hall, and better yet, providing opportunities for the Tigers to do the same.”
