Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum nominated for National Medal for Museum and Library

Gibsland’s very own Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum has been nominated for the 2024 National Medal for Museum and Library Service.

This award is the nation’s highest honor given to museums and libraries that provide excellent service to the communities in which they belong.

Since 1996, the National Medal for Museum and Library Service has honored 182 institutes that were dedicated to providing a unique and innovative public service.

The Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum features displays of authentic and verified history of the duo and other outlaws from the 1930s. It has also been spotlighted on various television series including American Pickers, Ghost Legends and Louisiana Riders. They will be featured on Duck Dynasty Family Treasures in the show’s upcoming season. It was also recognized as the number one attraction by the Louisiana Office of Tourism.

November 3-5 the museum will be hosting nightly ghost hunts featuring psychic readings and past life regression hypnosis by Raven Paranormal Events. Tickets will be available for purchase soon.
