Bienville Parish 4-H is getting geared up to start the 2023-2024 school year. We have lots of exciting opportunities available for the students of Bienville Parish. Come find your spark in Cloverbuds for kindergarten to third graders or become an active 4-H member for 4 th grade to Seniors in high school.
4-H has been around since 1902. It started as an agricultural club that taught teens new techniques to bring back to the home and the farm. It is so much more than that in 2023 for all ages. Bienville Parish will begin enrollment meetings in September.
Are you homeschooled? Well, you have the opportunity to become part of the Community Club. What about Kindergarten to 3 rd graders can become a member of Cloverbuds. These clubs meet monthly at the Castor Community Center. Come join all the fun on September 11, 2023, at the Castor Community Club. Cloverbuds meeting will be at 5:00 PM and Community Club Meeting at 5:30 PM. If you are a Bienville Parish Student, you can join 4-H at your school. 4-H is offered at every school in the parish.
Youth that are 7 th – 12 th grade and interested in Leadership and Community Service opportunities can join Junior Leader Club. They will hold their kick-off meeting Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 4-H Office on Maple Street in Arcadia at 5:30 PM. Bienville Parish also offers a shooting sports program. Youth can compete in archery, BB gun, .22, and shot gun. There will be a kick-off meeting at the Bienville Parish Sherriff’s Range on LA- 9 in Arcadia on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 5:30 PM.
Whether you are interested in cooking, animals, shooting sports, art, or science, we have something for you! You can join 4-H through your school this fall or at the 4-H Office all year long at the LSU AgCenter office at 2710 Maple Street in Arcadia.
