It’s time to start hearing the basketball on the hardwood. Saline, Castor, and Gibsland-Coleman started their seasons off last week.
Castor (0-3) boys started the season off in Doyline and then headed Dodson to face Calvin and Weston in the Dodson tournament.
Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs (1-1) started the Choudrant Tournament with an in-parish win with the Saline Bobcats and then came up short in the rematch of the Division V state semifinals against state champion Zwolle.
Saline Bobcats (1-1) bounced back with a win on Saturday over Hornbeck in Choudrant.
Castor Lady Tigers (3-0) start the season on a roll with a Halloween win over Doyline followed by two wins over Calvin and Weston in the Dodson tournament.
Gibsland-Coleman (1-1) got past in parish rival Saline in the Choudrant tourney. The Lady Bulldogs came up short against Hornbeck.
