Funeral services for Mr. Lorris Wayne “Bud” Bogan, 85, of Castor, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 21, 2022 in New Ebenezer Baptist Church, Castor, LA with Rev. Austin Hand and Rev. James Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Castor, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday at New Ebenezer Baptist Church from 10:00 – 1:00 P.M. under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold, LA.
Bud was born February 8, 1938 in Castor, LA and passed away at his residence in Castor, LA on November 18, 2023. He was a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Castor, LA and retired from Martin Timber Company as the Castor plant manager. Bud loved taking Chad to support the Castor High School ballgames, as they were two of the Tigers biggest fans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gertrude Bogan; brothers, Rockelle Bogan, Peyton Bogan and Mack Bogan; and sisters, Ruth McElroy and Sylvia McCain.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Virginia Kindley Bogan of Castor, LA; son, Chad Kindley Bogan of Castor, LA; sister, Shine Warren of Castor, LA and many other relatives and friends.
