Six RBI Day for Hunter Laborde Leads Saline Bobcats Varsity Past Lakeview

Hunter Laborde came to the ballpark and meant business on Saturday, driving in six on three hits to lead Saline Bobcats Varsity past Lakeview 15-3 on Saturday.  Labrode drove in runs on a single in the second, a double in the fourth, a double in the sixth, and a single in the seventh.

Saline Bobcats Varsity grabbed an early lead.  Saline Bobcats Varsity scored on a walk by Kenton Lee Crawford and a single by Laborde in the second inning.

After Saline Bobcats Varsity score one run in the top of the third, Lakeview answered with one of their own.  Saline Bobcats Varsity scored when Drew Golden singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.  Lakeview then answered when Logan Parker induced #21 to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Saline Bobcats Varsity pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning.  In the second, Crawford drew a walk, scoring one run, Jacob Jones was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, and Laborde singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.  

Saline Bobcats Varsity scored eight runs in the seventh inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Ethan Roberts, Laborde, Shawn Staggs, and Roberts, a walk by Golden, and an error on a ball put in play by Golden.

Parker was on the hill for Saline Bobcats Varsity.  Parker went seven inning, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out 12.

Saline Bobcats Varsity tallied ten hits in the game.  Laborde and Roberts all collected multiple hits for Saline Bobcats Varsity.  Roberts and Laborde each collected three hits to lead Saline Bobcats Varsity.  Saline Bobcats Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.  Staggs made the most plays with 13.  Saline Bobcats Varsity tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases.  Parker led the way with six.

Lakeview stole seven bases during the gams as two players stole more than one.  #1 led the way with two.
