
Four hits from Monroe McCarty weren’t enough as Redskins fell to Haynesville 15-9 on Thursday. McCarty singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and doubled in the sixth.
Redskins lost despite out-hitting Haynesville 18 to 12.
Haynesville captured the lead in the first inning when Haynesville scored one run on a stolen base. Haynesville took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning.
Rylan Parks pitched for the Redskins. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out three.
Redskins racked up 18 hits in the game. McCarty, Montgomery Durr, Parks, and Jacob Grigg each managed multiple hits for Redskins. McCarty led Redskins with four hits in five at bats. Redskins was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Grigg made the most plays with seven.
