According to Sheriff John Ballance, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Sgt. Clay Sonnier of the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Department was stationary monitoring traffic north of Gibsland on LA 154 just north of I-20 when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Devery Moore.
After contact with Moore, Sgt. Sonnier learned that Moore was driving under suspension and placed Moore under arrest.
While conducting an inventory of the vehicle Moore was operating, Sgt. Sonnier located a clear plastic baggie containing 757 suspected ecstasy tablets and $3,144 in U.S. currency.
Moore was charged with no seat belt, failure to use turn signals, driving under suspension and possession of Schedule II CDS with intent to distribute and booked into the Bienville Parish Jail.
