The addition of the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Combo Store has been a big deal for Castor.  Gibsland may be the next town in Bienville Parish to benefit from the combo store.

I spoke with Gibsland’s Mayor Ray Ivory. He said Family Dollar/Dollar Tree has been looking for property in the Gibsland area since 2019.  The company had decided on a piece of property, but the property was unavailable. 

The search for the right property continues.  The company is interested in property south of Interstate 20 in the Gibsland area.
