
Earlier this week, Sheriff John Ballance presented 2020 Castor High School graduate Emily Fearrand with a $1500 D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) scholarship.
Sheriff Ballance also presented Zion Scott, the 2020-2021 Ringgold Elementary D.A.R.E. essay winner and district runner-up, with a $50 check from the Louisiana D.A.R.E. Officers Association and a bicycle courtesy of the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Ballance said, “Congratulations to both students and to Sgt. Bentley Williams for teaching the D.A.R.E. curriculum throughout the Bienville Parish schools.”
