Council on Aging Alters Services Due to Covid Surge

The Bienville Council on Aging is implementing necessary changes due to the surge in Covid cases, but will continue to provide services to local citizens.

Rather than congregating for meals, the COA will provide meals in a low contact ‘grab and go’ manner at their facilities in Arcadia, Castor, Gibsland, Ringgold and Saline.

Grab and Go meals will be available on Monday and Wednesday each week.  To receive the grab and go meals, just drive through the facility parking lot and someone will provide you with the meals.

Mondays: 1 Hot Meal and 1 Frozen Meal
Wednesday: 1 Hot Meal and 2 Frozen Meals

COA Meals On Wheels deliveries will continue.

The DOTD transportation service may be impacted by the restrictions set forth by the state of Louisiana with occasional limited services.

The Bienville Council on Aging main office will remain open but will temporarily limit in-person office and local facility visits by the public.

If you have questions or concerns, please call the Bienville Council On Aging at 263-8936.
