Saline High School Alumna Receives FFA’s Highest Honor

Amelia Louise Cheatwood, a member of the Saline High School FFA chapter made a trip to Indianapolis, Indiana Nov. 30, 2021 to receive the highest honor that the National FFA organization confers to its members, the American FFA Degree. Amelia is a 2019 graduate of Saline High School and was a very active member of its FFA chapter. Her supervised agricultural experience program included beef cattle and forage production. While a student in the FFA, Amelia won several placings every year in the Proficiency award program and she totaled over $1100 with these placings. She was a chapter officer and attended the State FFA Convention every year. She also worked many hours of community service with the Saline FFA Chapter Toys for Tots campaign held every year up until the Covid pandemic shut it down.
