
The arrival of a cold and frigid arctic air mass will set the stage for a winter weather threat from south Texas to the Carolinas on Friday into Saturday. Below normal temperatures will remain in place from the end of the work week into the first half of the weekend. Daily high temperatures will only climb into the 40s, with overnight lows in the 20s. Warmer temperatures and rain chances will return on Monday and Tuesday as another upper level disturbance moves into the region.
– Be sure to leave your faucets dripping (plumbers suggest warm and cold) to prevent freezing and bursting pipes. (Remind loved ones to do the same)
–Make sure your pets have a place to escape the cold. (Remind loved ones to do the same for their pets)
