
On Wednesday, March 30, a swift but powerful storm swept over the whole state of Louisiana. In preparation of the storm, Governor John Bel Edwards closed some state offices, including those in Bienville parish. The worst part of the storm hit just before and during the noon hour. Straight line winds and possible tornadic activity caused damage to homes and businesses at Friendship, as well as in other parts of the parish and surrounding parishes. The storm knocked out electricity for about 24 hours. Power was restored in Carolina Community at 11:50 am on the following day. Take a look at the images of some of the damage in Friendship below.
