From Friday Night Lights to Storytime Delights: Children’s book signing with Anthony Mullins

On Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 1pm to 2pm at the Bienville Parish Library in Arcadia, former Summerfield High School coach and North Louisiana native, Anthony L. “Tony” Mullins has traded in his cleats for a new career – children’s picture book author!

The Bienville Parish Library in Arcadia will host a book signing for Evie in the Children’s Reading Area of the Main Library. Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $20, a perfect gift for children and grandchildren who love a good giggle and a little October tingle.

Evie transports readers into a fanciful Halloween night where two rambunctious brothers and one unsuspecting neighbor discover that tricks can lead to the greatest treats.

To bring the character of Evie to life, Coach Mullins enlisted the help of his lifelong friend and artist/illustrator, James Hislope. This close partnership ensured every image is brimming with the laughter, mischief, and hometown magic that defines Halloween after dark!

Anthony Mullins and his wife Carol have deep roots in North Louisiana and now call Sarepta home. They manage a homestead where they grow native Louisiana cotton and rare strains of tobacco, creating handmade items. Additionally, they run an RV park for travelers.

Mark those calendars and join Anthony Mullins and family at the Bienville Parish Library in Arcadia for an afternoon of mischievous tales, giggles, and a cauldron of spook-tacular fun.
