The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development recently provided updates on two projects in Bienville Parish. 

The first project is the U.S. 371 Overlay Project. All of the asphalt paving on the 12-mile long U.S. 371 overlay project near Ringgold is now complete. Final work items include permanent roadway striping/signage and mailbox installation. The $14 million project is estimated to be completed early this year.

The other project is the LA 516 Bridge Replacement. This $2.6 million ongoing project to replace the LA 516 bridge over Poland Branch east of Fryeburg continues. The estimated completion is early this year.
