Bienville Parish has submitted a fire protection measure for the upcoming June election to be reviewed at the April 17, 2026, State Bond Commission meeting. Fire Protection District, Ward 7, is requesting a 12.17 mills tax for a 10-year term beginning in 2027.

The revenue from this tax is intended for the acquisition, improvement, and operation of fire protection facilities and equipment. The proposal also covers the cost of obtaining water for fire protection, including fire hydrant rentals
