Tammy Jump Highlights 25 Years of Prosecutorial Experience and 20 Jury Trials

Tammy Jump, candidate for District Attorney of Louisiana’s 2nd Judicial District, is highlighting her 25 years of service as a full-time Assistant District Attorney and her experience of personally trying 20 jury trial cases.

Jump served the people of Bienville, Claiborne and Jackson Parishes as a prosecutor from 2000 to 2026, including serving as First Assistant District Attorney since 2010.

She has devoted her professional career to the criminal justice system, working with law enforcement, handling criminal prosecutions, and carrying out the responsibilities of the District Attorney’s office. Jump’s courtroom experience includes personally trying 20 cases before juries.

“Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the people of these three parishes,” said Jump. “My experience in the courtroom has taught me the importance of preparation, sound judgment, fairness and respect for the law. Those principles have guided my career and will continue to do so. I have a deep understanding of our justice system, the responsibilities of being a prosecutor and the importance of treating every case with fairness and integrity.”

Jump is a candidate for District Attorney in the upcoming November election.
