Number 5 seed, the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs, will be competing in the quarterfinal round against the number 4 ranked team, the Lacassine Cardinals, for the Division V (Non-select) Boy’s Basketball State Championship. The game will be played at Gibsland-Coleman this evening, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. The school is asking attendees to wear purple in support of the Bulldogs.
Competing for the Division IV (Non-select) title, the Arcadia Hornets, played the Lakeview Gators on Wednesday, March 1, at Lakeview High School. They played a good game, but fell short of moving on to the next round, losing 70-48. The Lakeview Gators will advance to the quarterfinals where they will play the number 3 team, the Franklin Hornets today at 6:30 p.m. at Franklin High School.
