Bienville Parish 4-H announces winners of annual Black History Month essay contest

Bienville Parish 4H had an amazing turn out of members and non-members that participated in their 2nd Annual Black History Month essay contest. Participants turned in submissions answering the question, “Who is a person of color you greatly admire? How has this person’s example benefited you?”
 

The divisional winners are as follows:

Division I (4-6 grades):

1st place- Jace Haulcy 4th grade- Gibsland- Coleman
2nd place- Sa’Myriah Dunn- 5th grade- Crawford Elementary
3rd place- AJai Haulcy- 5th grade- Gibsland- Coleman
 
Division II (7-8 grades):
 
London Rhodes- 7th grade- Gibsland-Coleman
Xavier Gray- 7th grade- Gibsland- Coleman
Vinson Sneed, Jr. 8th grade- Gibsland- Coleman
 
Division III (9-12 grades):
 
Brian Wright- 9th grade- Gibsland- Coleman
Felicity Willis- 12th grade- Ringgold High School
Gunner Grigsby- 9th grade- Ringgold High School

Each winner was awarded a first place prize of $100, second place prize of $50 and a third place prize of $25.
